They can't shut up.

I'm in a waiting room at UCSF, at the ortho clinic.

There's a man here, with his mother, who's receiving treatment. He needs some kind of mental treatment, though. They've been sitting, waiting, with nothing to say for at least fifteen minutes. That hasn't prevented them from talking.

I estimate they haven't been silent for five seconds the whole time. It's like those sci-fi shows where a person can hear people's thoughts, and the constant "noise" makes them crazy. There's nothing that's crossed this guy's mind since lunchtime that I'm not privy to.

From the sound of it, I'm pretty sure his mom brought him up that way.

I cannot wait to see the doctor.
