Monumental Art Project Postponed Due to Illness

I'm home tonight, listening to our windows rattle and the chimney howl, and feeding my sick wife garlic bread and Nyquil.

I'd intended to stay late at work to watch the Bay Bridge Lights lighting ceremony. The Bay Bridge Lights is a huge LED-sign art project, using the suspension lines of the Bay Bridge as it's canvas. It sounds pretty nifty, but it'll be online for months (years?), so I'll see it, plenty.

My office at Joyent has a pretty great view of at least one big chunk of the bridge, from the heart of SF's financial district, 9 floors up:

However, back home at the apartment on the other side of the peninsula, I've apparently traded a cat with the sniffles (Sappho seems much better!) to a full-fledged sick Maggie, who needs fresh supplies of tissues, lozenges, juice, soup, and downloaded television shows.

It appears that the weather on the other side of the hill isn't so bad (or wasn't just a few hours ago) ... the lights display seems pretty cool, as viewed from youtube:
